I mean really, who can resist these? The boys in the family were against it, but we girls (including the other hens, I like to think) won.
This is one of the men who hates chickens. For the record, I'm not the one who brought them in the house this morning...So it's Freddy, Hazel, and Dorothy added to Blanca, Karen, and Azul. Yes, the names all mean something, but it's ridiculous to get into.
Yeah for spring chickens and (if it stops snowing and blowing here) Spring!
Aren't they funny? A year ago, my husband very reluctantly gave in to my wish to have chickens. Very reluctantly. This last week, he actually said "You know, I never thought I'd say this, but I really like having chickens around. They're entertaining." He didn't even blink when I mentioned that I was bidding on some hatching eggs.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! We got 6 chicks last September, and they are all now laying (I got 6 eggs one day this week, so no more guesswork!). My husband wasn't completely convinced, but now he likes them and their chicken-y ways. And he loves how much they love the spent grain when he brews beer...they follow him around. It's hysterical.
